Rise to the Tabletop is a multiplayer party game developed in Unity over the course of a semester with a team of four other friends as the project for our Indie Game Dev course at Miami University.
The game was developed alongside:
I was one of the programmers for this project alongside Aiden Pearson, and it was definitely a valuable learning experience for me. This was the first time I had ever had to implement minigames, not to mention the amount of communication necessary between different scenes in the game in order to track items, points, stats such as how many of certain spaces different players landed on, and deciding the winner at the end of the game.
I mostly helped with the menus, as well as implementing one of the minigames as well as certain items. I was also in charge of tracking the stats such as the number of items used or spaces of a certain type landed on by each individual player over the course of the game to be displayed at the end, as well as enabling the players to select their character.
This project provided wonderful experience for a genre I had never experimented with before, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience working in a team!
