This project, simply the Umbrella Man, is an art piece created in Photoshop crafted almost entirely out of different images of umbrellas with the exception of the suit.
This project was yet another college assignment, with little-to-no restrictions other than using a certain number of tools. For this, I primarily made use of the liquify tool alongside numerous methods of color correction and hue/saturation layers in order to change the colors and brightness of certain objects as I needed. The general shape of the head is constructed from the same umbrella shape copy and pasted with a transparent gradient over it in order to add some shading. While the eyes are constructed of three different umbrellas with altered saturation and brightness, the rest of the face was primarily constructed through the liquify tool. Both the mouth and ear-shapes were constructed through liquifying an umbrella handle into the correct shapes, while the filling of the ears and the nose were made from a liquified umbrella, as was the hair.
The background is also composed of umbrella pieces, as each "raindrop" present is the same liquified umbrella handle made blue. The sky is also a series of the same umbrella, changed to the color blue and with an oil paint filter over the entire pattern. This project was really just a chance to experiment with certain tools in Photoshop, which I certainly did.
